minpack-dev software package provides nonlinear equations and nonlinear least squares static library, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install minpack-dev
minpack-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the minpack-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep minpack-dev *
You will get with minpack-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
